Cheryl Podgornik
Registered Nurse
Cheryl graduated from Camosun College in Victoria B.C. as a Registered Nurse in 1990. After two years of adult surgical nursing she decided to pursue her dreams of becoming a Pediatric/Neonatal nurse. She moved to Vancouver to begin her career at B.C. Childrens and Woman’s Hospital in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Over the past 30 years in the NICU, Cheryl has had the experience of being a bedside nurse, Clinical support nurse, Resuscitation nurse, preceptor and mentor for both acute care and resuscitation. Her leadership roles include NICU Charge nurse and Clinical Resource Nurse. She is also an NRP instructor, member of the PICC team (Central Vascular Access) and the RN transport team.
Cheryl lives locally in South Surrey with her husband and two boys, where they have grown up as an active part of the community.
